Compliance Management, Inc utilizes the Alert Technologies 1000 Underfill and 1050 Ullage test systems for UST / AST Precision Tightness Testing. This equipment is PC based and holds third party certifications.

USTEST 2001/P UNDERFILL TEST

The Alert Model 1000 UST Test System is a mass based system for measuring tank leakage. It uses a patented mass measurement technique using the buoyancy force measurement of a displacement probe. Changes in buoyancy force are directly related to changes in the mass of product in the tank. Measuring mass change eliminates the need for correcting for product temperature expansion and contraction. The system consists of a displacement probe sized to the tank diameter, attached to a load cell and inserted on the base of an existing 2 to 4 inch riser pipe. The load cell measures changes in buoyancy force and transfers this information to a removable, battery powered logger. This permits testing to be done without an operator at the site. After the test is completed, the data is downloaded to a PC for leak rate determination.

TANK CAPACITIES: Static Tank Testing up to 30,000 gallons.

TEST TIME: Static Datalogger Tests: 2 - 8 hours.

SETUP TIME: The Model 1000 setup requires approximately 30 minutes per tank excluding any site tank modifications.

PERFORMANCE: The Model 1000 certification has been EPA third party certified to exceed 0.1gph 95%Pd 5%Pfa specifications in tanks 20 to 95% full.

OPENING SIZE: The 2000 series load cell installs in a 2", 3" or 4" tank opening.

USTEST 2000/U ULLAGE TEST

The Alert Model 1050 UST Ullage test system is a microprocessor controlled test method which uses a transducer to record signals measured in the tank during the test. The transducer is inserted in the tank through the fill pipe or other opening and is positioned just below the top of the tank. The tank is monitored at atmospheric pressure to determine the background noise level. The tank is then pressurized to 1.5 PSIG, or may be depressurized to -1.5 PSIG and monitored for the sound of air passing through an opening. The data collected by the transducer is analyzed using digital signal processing techniques and fourier transform analysis to declare the tank leaking or tight.

TANK CAPACITIES: The Model 1050 will test up to 24,000 gallons of ullage space in an underground storage tank.

TEST TIME: The Model 1050 requires 10 minutes to perform a test.
SETUP TIME: The Model 1050 setup requires approximately 20 minutes excluding any site tank or vent opening modifications.

PERFORMANCE: The Model 1050 has been EPA third party certified to the non-volumetric protocol.

OPENING SIZE: The Model 1050 will install in a 2", 3" or 4" tank opening
